Hello,
Wintermute here with your daily dose of Dumbr. Today we will talk about things to do during your flight to give you a little extra comfort for your voyage.
Wintermute here with your daily dose of Dumbr. Today we will talk about things to do during your flight to give you a little extra comfort for your voyage.
1. 1.Bring a watch. You should not always trust technology. You may not be able to find a place to charge up, plus after you take off, your phone will not be able to connect to any of the other satellites and therefore will no longer be able to tell you the time. Yes airports have nearly 500 clocks spread around but still.
3. 2. Get an aisle seat. Yeah I know it sucks, you want to stare out the window, so do I. But there is nothing worse in the world than flying for 18 hours, and all of a sudden a rush of piss like Niagara Falls is juggling in your bladder and the two old people blocking you to relief are fast asleep.
5. 3. Bring some food. I wouldn’t take granola bars; they break up in your pocket. I suggest beef jerky or a bag of dried fruit.
6. 4. Jacket. I wear a jacket so I can keep my passport inside my sleeve. Seems a bit extreme I know, but I like to have it close and it is always ready for me to pull out if need be. Bring a pen too.
7. 5. Carry on. If you are meeting business partners when you land, bring with you business cards, a comb, something to shave with, and a toothbrush. Remember, it s a 30 something hour trip.
4. 6. Hotline. When in Korea, dial 1330 on any phone, and they will offer you English assistance and travel information, so if you get lost in Korea, call the number. Also the emergency number is 119.
8. 7. Movie Recommendation: “Up in the Air.” Funny and informative.
Aside from whatever makes you comfortable while flying I think that just about does it. Tomorrow we will talk about what you should do as soon as you land. So come back and be ready to take notes.
Your Flight Coach,
Wintermute
interesting and informative...keep up the good work...
ReplyDeleteGreat post and great advice! I know a lot of people like to have chewing gum when they are on a plane to help them with the altitude change. That's the only thing I could think of to add.
ReplyDeleteGreat advice!
ReplyDeleteUp in the Air was such a good movie.
ReplyDeleteYou should also include a reminder to follow airport security rules :P
I always forget on the flight home to check my bags. They got rid of my tube of face scrub. ):

ReplyDeletealso check out www.seatdata.com to find the best seats on each flight. Due to quirks in seating alignment some seats have more legroom than others.
