Hello,
Wintermute here with your daily dose of Dumbr in the Classroom. Since I talked a bit about the school yesterday I figured I would get into the classrooms a bit more. There are a lot of classrooms, hallways stretch on forever that branch out into large rooms crowded with students. There are 100 Korean teachers and I'd say maybe 40 or more classroms per floor per classroom.
Every room is pretty much the same, theres a teachers podium in the front. Inside the podium is computer. The computer ishooked up to T.V., everything you do on the computer the kids can see. You can use to run power points or Classroom C.D.s.
I've only been observing this week and so far the teachers have used it to show kpop videos to the students on youtube, but it has served other purposes. Some of the girl students have been caught using the computer to watch porn, but not the boys.
One thing that I think is funny is that most students bring pillows to sit on, because they know they are there all day long. They practically live in those classrooms.
By the way, I finished my roster and counted the students, 396, so almost 400. Thats 18 students spread out among 22 classes. Be good and tomorrow I'll tell you a funny story that happened.
Your Teacher,
Wintermute
i look forward to the funny story :]
ReplyDeleteWhoa huge school..
ReplyDeleteGuess that means you can't surf the web/get on fb with that computer. :P
and Yes, story please!!
I have my own desk and a computer in the teachers office that I use for blogger and fb and just about anything. Most teachers sit and watch tv.
ReplyDeleteA funny story? Can it get better than female students getting caught looking at porn?
ReplyDeletelol about the girls watching porn. ;D
ReplyDeletePorn at school? Definitely not a good idea.
ReplyDeleteThe guys just havnt been caught yet.. Their more experianced at hideing it^^
ReplyDeleteToo many kids in one area.
ReplyDeletecan't wait for the funny story
ReplyDeleteThe girls watched porn? xD
ReplyDeleteIt seems like they use a lot more technology than we do. Do you think it works?
ReplyDeleteI dont know, in my High school we used a lot of technology as well. I think its good as a resource, but not something to teach from. I had a history teacher that just used power points everyday, i hated it.
