My School

Hello,

Wintermute here with your daily dose of Dumbr. This week I started teaching at a new school in Korea. The school is located in a city owned by the second largest company in the world of its industry. So basically the company owns everything in the city, the taxis, the stores, and the schools. Its a university city and the only way to live here is to either be a student or an employee of this main company. Obviously I don't work for the company but instead the school, however I am technically an employee of this company.

I work at an all boys and all girls middle school. My desk and computer is located in the all girls, meaning I have to switch schools when I have a boys class. All of the High Schools and Middle Schools and dorms are located on the same campus, so getting around is easy.

I teach 22 classes a week and have about 350-400 something students total. I'll be lucky if I can remember all of their names.  At my last school I had 30 minutes to prepare 9 hours of different lessons. This school I am loaded with free hours to prepare 45 minutes a week. Basically I prepare one lesson and teach  that same lesson 20 times a week for each class. Its a pretty easy gig. It may get a bit boring after a while but still much simpler.

The school is set up just like in any anime I'm sure you've seen. Basically the school is a ugly looking block that goes up. The higher the floor you are on the higher the grade. I teach the second highest meaning my students are about 15-16 years old. Depending on their grade they wear a different colored tag on their uniform.

I think thats about it for the school. I guess next time I will talk about the classrooms. I know you want pictures and maybe someday I will post some, but don't hold your breath.

Your Teacher,
Wintermute.

  2. Man, although it sounds pretty straightforward, I hope you don't lose your mind to boredom. Same routine that many times a day to the bunch of kids in uniforms at such an ugly building.

  3. dear god, how do you remember that many names. sounds like a sweet job though, if its like every anime school does that mean they have classes they teach at the top of the buildings like PE and stuff?
